Not every leaking supply pipe needs replacing. We investigate the condition of your existing supply and, where it's appropriate, carry out a localised repair to get you back up and running.
We don't automatically recommend a complete replacement. If a repair is a practical option, we'll tell you. If the pipe is in poor condition and likely to keep failing, we'll explain why replacement may be better value in the long run, and let you decide.
What we repair
- Leaks on underground copper supply pipes
- Leaks on plastic supply pipes, including MDPE and older alkathene
- Repairs to older supply pipework, subject to its condition and suitability
- Leaking joints and fittings on the private supply
- Private supply leaks identified by your water supplier
Has your water supplier found a leak?
Water companies often detect leaks on private supply pipes and write to the property owner asking for them to be repaired. If you've received a letter or notice like this, get in touch. We can investigate, repair or replace the pipe as appropriate, and we're used to working with water suppliers on this kind of work.
When you request a quote, let us know what your water supplier has told you. It helps us give you accurate advice more quickly.
When a repair isn't the right answer
If the pipe is lead, badly corroded, or has leaked in several places, repairing one section may just move the problem along the pipe. In that case we'll talk you through a complete supply pipe replacement, which can often be done by hydraulic moling to keep digging to a minimum.
